Scenes from an airport bar

I'm leaving baby,
I'm leaving today.
I'll finish my gin and tonic,
Then I am on my way.

Teach me to be a king,
The world is my oyster.
On a silver bird,
I kiss blue skies.

It's just another day,
The same faces.
Gathered suits,
empty glasses.

Take me away,
I need to do this.
To find myself,
Speaking a language of independence.

Our lips touch so softly,
Words are worthless.
Teary eyes and running make-up,
Happiness with a side of sadness.

It's closing time,
It's been a busy day.
Take my hand and whisper,
You know there's always tomorrow.
