Fight against the grey

A room full of spoilt dreams,
A man with candles for eyes sits.
They say all you need is luck,
They lied.

The illumination is the only thing keeping him alive,
As he fights against the ever present grey.
The light in his glance is overcome,
By the poison black in his heart.

Struggling to remember what she did,
The lack of her presence.
The lack of her love,
The lack of her.

The lights die,
The candles blown out.
A room full of spoilt dreams,
A man sits.

Another year falls off the calendar,
A haunted man forgets to shave.
Respect the wishes,
Respect the dead.
