I Raised My Arms Out Wide

I raised my arms out wide,
The beating of my heart went cold.
For a loving embrace,
I risked it all.

I woke up in another lifetime,
Shades of smiles were black.
Surrounded by familiar faces,
Oh how the world turns.

For love is luck to the loveless,
The fortunate dance of life.
And when the silence quivers,
You'll find me dancing alone.

Upon the steep hills of tomorrow,
Inhale a breath of courage.
For a loving embrace,
I would risk it all again.
