Where is the light in the darkness, sailor?

The sound of impending waves crash,
Hitting the boat like a passionate kiss.
In darkness there is no happiness,
In darkness there is no light.

He sails alone through unforgiving winds,
Not even the moon or stars as friends.
How has a man so haunting and weathered,
Remained so staunch in stature?

For land is just a vicious myth,
Riding lightning and thunder to home.
This sailor has but one journey,
The journey to find a glow.

Tides of time tell stories,
Fables of fallen men.
Who sail the seas of hope and fate,
And fell anxiously short of gold.

Where is the light in the darkness, sailor?
Find it in your soul.
Where is the light in the darkness, sailor?
One day you'll make it home.
